The Foundation awarded $3658 Pembroke Boys and Girls Club's initiative- The Great Canadian Outdoors.

In this project area youth will have the opportunity to visit six landmarks throughout the year to discover their country. They will visit: Shaw Woods to explore how maple syrup is made in March; Museum of Civilization to learn about our history in June; Pikwakanagan First Nations to attend their Pow Wow Ceremony in August; Algonquin Park to hike in our beautiful autumn outdoors in October; Canadian War Museum to learn about our great military history in November; and Rideau Canal to skate on the world’s largest skating rink.

**The 2016 Campaign was made possible by the Community Fund for Canada’s 150th, a collaboration between the PPDCF- 100 Women, the Government of Canada, and extraordinary leaders from coast to coast.
