Comments from the recipient:
"Foundation funding will permit project participants the opportunity to
develop strong self-advocacy skills, develop presentation skills which will enable them to reach out to their community by sharing their story. By providing professional coaching the participant will develop verbal and nonverbal messages, and will learn how to deliver speeches with confidence. They will learn how to develop content for a variety of audiences, such as service and community clubs, high school and elementary schools, church groups and municipal government. Our project goal is to have a community where all rights, both legal and human, are afforded every citizen without discrimination, and, where every person is supported in their effort to become a participating respected member of our community.

Comments from the 100+ Women Committee:
The mission of the CLUOV is to ensure that all persons live in a state of dignity, share in all elements of living in the community and have the opportunity to participate effectively. The Community Foundation grant ($750) provided funds to assist with their Women’s Speakers Series program. Professional clothing was purchased as well as a laptop and projector to use during presentations.
