The Foundation awarded $2000 to the Arnprior & District Humane Society's Humane Education Program.

Arnprior and District Humane Society will develop and implement a formal Humane Education program whereby volunteers and staff of the Humane Society visit schools and children’s interest groups to provide education about animal welfare. Humane education plays an important role in creating a compassionate and caring society which takes responsibility for ourselves, each other, our fellow animals, and the Earth. 

**The 2016 Campaign was made possible by the Community Fund for Canada’s 150th, a collaboration between the PPDCF- 100 Women, the Government of Canada, and extraordinary leaders from coast to coast.
