The Foundation awarded $5000 to The Circle of Turtle Lodge's Finding Our Way initiative.

The Circle of Turtle Lodge holds as its mission, to revive, promote, and restore the Traditional Culture and Teachings for the Indigenous People of the Ottawa Valley. There are four key elements to this project:

1. Community Gatherings

2. Workshops

3. Elder Teachings/Ceremonies

4. Networking

This initiative will build a healthy Indigenous community by reconnecting people in communities across the Ottawa Valley who are interested in reviving cultural distinctiveness, preserving cultural identity and  sharing culture and knowledge with other Canadians.

**The 2016 Campaign was made possible by the Community Fund for Canada’s 150th, a collaboration between the PPDCF- 100 Women, the Government of Canada, and extraordinary leaders from coast to coast.
